For more than 10 years, Remediation Group, Inc. (RGI) and its commercial division, RGI Commercial, have provided project solutions for the commercial market with the past four years as a certified Small Business Administration 8(a). RGI Commercial accepts projects within the Federal market as the prime, subcontractor, design-build, and design-bid-build and via indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) works. RGI has completed projects for the Federal Aviation Administration, Housing and Urban Development, and United States Marines.
Recent Project Highlights
The Albany Marine Supply Depot:
- Warehouse design/build installation of large ventilation fans
- Water migration and drainage design/build
- Design/build Base Facilities Sauna
The projects at the Albany Marine Base were hampered by severe budget limitations. RGI Commercial was able to assist the program manager in controlling project costs by providing detailed planning and decision-making early within the project phases. Through RGI Commercial’s efforts design issues were examined and changed prior to the project start resulting in zero project change orders. This is an example of RGI Commercial’s constructability program at work. Studies by industry groups, such as Construction Industry Institute, note that a sound constructability program can result in a 10:1 benefit-to-cost ratio.
